At The Sign Chef, we offer four levels of finishes to ensure complete resilience.

Levels

Economy grade — This quality finish is made to last up to three years outside. It will protect your sign from cruel weather conditions. We coat all our signs with economy grade finish for free — it's always standard. Standard grade — Our high quality finish will last up to five years outside. This finish includes a clear dura—shield UV protective laminate that is also scratch resistant.

Premium grade — This premium finish is made to last six to eight years outdoors. This also includes our premium grade 3M UV protective laminate. We also offer reflective premium laminate.

How do I know which to choose?

If you need help, you can always contact one of our sign specialists who will be happy to help you make this important decision.

However, higher grade finishes are best for some common weather conditions. If you're near the ocean, the salty air can break down your sign. Hight humidit can do the same, so you may want a high grade finish if your Charleston sign always sits in the sun.

Are high grade finishes worth it?
